Jordan makes remarkable progress in entrepreneurship indicators …

The Minister of Digital Economy and Economy, in Cooperation with the German University of Jordan and the Jordanian Strategies Forum, Launched the Project “Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment in Jordan”, which is implemeted by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Federal Minister of Economic Cooperation and the European Union the National Report for Jordan Within The International Observatory for Entrepreneurship 2024/2025, which has shown progress noting the kingdom in a number of entrepreneurship indicators.
The report indicated that Jordan has ranked second in the Arab world among the seven Arab countries participating in the report to the corporate spirit index at its early stages (TEA), with a significant decrease in the gender difference of 9.2% to 3%, which reflects an improvement in empowering entrepreneurial women. Jordan was also second Arab in the existing commercial property index (EBO), in an indication of the sustainability of entrepreneurial projects. The report recorded an improvement in the environmental environment for entrepreneurship, in particular in indicators such as: market dynamics, government policies, support programs and market entry regulations.
In the context of supporting continuity of participation in the observatory’s reports, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the ministry, the Jordanian University of Jordan and the Jordanian Strategies Forum, aimed at improving research capacities and ensuring regular participation in the report.
The Minister of Digital Economy and Leadership, Eng. Sami Al -Samirat, stressed that “these results reflect the government’s commitment to support the entrepreneurial environment, and that specific data is the basis of effective policies,” stressing that “entrepreneurship is a pillar of sustainable economic development”.
For his part, the president of the German Jordanian University, Dr. Alaeddin Al -Halhouli, stressed that “the investigation research contributes to better understanding the pioneer and the realization of programs”, stressing “the role of the university as a national partner to support the innovation system”.
Meanwhile, the executive director of the Jordan Strategies Forum, Nisreen Barakat, stressed that “the report constitutes a strategic platform to formulate policies based on evidence and monitoring of progress”, noting the importance of the partnership to support the economic dialogue based on analysis.
