According to the same sources, which have been observed in some of the details disclosed on these negotiations, the expected government coalition intends to improve the skills of the federal police in the field of expulsion and the detention of migrants, noting that “the negotiators of the Allied parties provide for strict measures spread in this area, despite the presence of certain differences, in particular with regard to a balance between militants and respect for rights humans. “
The three German political parties agreed in principle from the situation of Morocco, Algeria and India in the list of countries of origin for irregular migrants who are considered “safe” in order to accelerate the expulsion of migrants and asylum seekers on German soil and who are forced to return to their country of origin if they hold the nationality of one of these countries.
Also among the axes of negotiation, according to the same sources, the abolition of the obligation to provide legal and judicial assistance to the persons who received the order to leave German soil, in addition to granting federal police the power to manage the temporary detention of migrants pending deportation.
Despite the agreement of negotiators on a significant number of major points in the new immigration and asylum plan, there are differences between them concerning the family reunification process for beneficiaries of protection in Germany, such as refugees fleeing the wars, in addition to the legal residence of the “possibility of residence”, which gives a text rejected, after five years of legal residence, the right to stay in the country, which is a Christian text.
The dispute also stems from the social assistance file from which immigrants who are forced to leave Germany benefit, because the social democratic party insists on following more human policies in this aspect, while the Christian parties sting in their positions towards the permits of residence and the aid of the government.
Despite internal criticism of new government coalition policies towards the immigration file, many points are expected to be decided in the coming weeks, in the midst of human rights concerns concerning the humanitarian repercussions of strict immigration policies.
