The bad weather kills at least three people in Italy

The bad weather continues to affect Italy: on Thursday, the northwest was beaten by strong winds, heavy rains and hail, causing floods in several cities and significant damage, namely, in the infrastructure.
The transport sector was the hardest, with serious traffic alterations and some cut cuts due to the closure of roads and highways.
In the early hours of Friday, the storm began to move to the northeast and the center of the country. The most affected areas include Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto.
The Civil Protection issued a red alert this Friday in Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, due to the increase in the level of the Poça River. An orange alert is in force for two other Lombardas areas, and a yellow warning was issued in eight regions.
Two dead in the Vicenza area
The bodies of two missing men were found in the Trissino flood basin (Vicenza), after his car was swallowed by a Valdagno hole caused by bad weather. They were identified as Leone Nardon, 65, and his son Francesco, 34.
The bodies were recovered by firefighters a few hours apart after a night search, after the two were given as disappeared on Thursday night. It is believed that they go to the City Council as volunteers to help with the emergency response after they found out about the widespread floods in the area.
“I send my condolences to the family and the community of Valdagno, which was hit on Friday by an extreme weather phenomenon, both for its intensity and for the amount of rain that fell,” said Luca Zaia, president of the Veneto region.
“I would like to thank the Regional Civil Protection, the Vicenza Corps of Engineers, all the volunteers and rescue teams that currently work in the Agno Valley and other affected areas.”
In the Turin region, another deadly victim was recorded: a 92 -year -old retired carpenter who was caught in his house in Monteu da Po and believes he was drowning.
According to the first estimates, the damage caused by the storm in the Piemonte can amount to tens of millions of euros, said Marco Gabusi, Regional Civil Protection Minister.
“The intense rain has already caused landslides, floods, evacuations and, unfortunately, the fall of a bridge, this is a situation that requires maximum attention,” Gabusi said.
More than 700 firefighters are on the ground dealing with the waters of the floods, eliminating the fallen trees and protecting the areas affected by landslides, especially on the outskirts of Turin.
Red Flood Alert Poly Poly
A maximum warning for the risk of river floods was decreed after heavy rains. The main concern is Río Pó, which can overflow on the border between Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, after increasing almost five meters in the last 24 hours.
The weather forecasts point to a return of the sun this Friday and, in part, on Saturday, but it will only be a short break: between Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, the rain is expected to return to the center and northern Italy, while the South is expected to remain a soap opera.
Strong nevions arrive in Italy, France and Switzerland
Strong nevions arrived at the South Alps on Thursday, causing alterations on trips and electricity cuts.
In France, Avalanche’s warnings reached level five in places like Chamonix, with fall reports of more than a meter of snow in some areas.
In Switzerland, the snow disturbed the transport of roads and railroads and left several areas of Valaisbreed without electricity. The schools in the region were closed on Thursday by caution.
