Eating nuts daily protects the colon from inflammation

An American study has revealed that eating nuts can daily be able to reduce infections and improve colon health and can even reduce the risk of colon cancer.

Researchers from the University of “Contecticut” explained that the walnuts contain vegetable compounds that turn into the intestine into strong anti -inflammatory substances and the results have been published, Wednesday, in the magazine (research on cancer prevention).

Colon infections are a condition described as a swelling and irritation of the large intestine and can derive from multiple causes such as autoimmune infection or diseases, such as ulcerative colitis. These infections lead to problematic symptoms such as abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea and weight loss and chronic infections can contribute to an increased risk of colon cancer.

The nuts contain natural vegetable compounds known as “Elagitanine”, which are transformed into the intestine, from the intestinal microbium, into anti -inflammatory molecules known as “uurubine”, and has shown strong effects in reducing inflammation and possibly in inhibiting cancer cells.

The study included 39 participants aged 40 and 65, all at risk of colon cancer. The participants underwent a preliminary examination at the University Hospital of the University of “Contecticut” and also filled food questionnaires to determine their consumption rates for foods rich in elasticity.

Before the start of the experiment, the participants were asked to refrain from all the sources of “elasticity” for a week to check the levels of “uurubitin” in the body. So they started eating walnuts every day for three weeks, under the rigorous control of researchers, before they were subjected to high resolution colonoscopy.

The results showed that the participants whose bodies produced high levels of “Europe” after eating walnuts recorded a significant improvement in the inflammation indicators in the blood, in the urine and in the stool, compared to others. A decrease in the levels of protein associated with advanced colon carcinoma has also been observed in the tissue samples taken from the coli apparitions.

And advanced cellular analysis and 3D microscopic images have shown that the anti -inflammatory effects of walnuts penetrate the cell structure of the colon, indicating a possible direct effect of walnuts in the prevention of cancer development.

The results indicated that patients with obesity and were able to produce high levels of “uurubetin”, have benefited in particular of the low inflammation indicators, which improve the importance of walnuts as a diet to prevent colon cancer, especially in the most vulnerable groups.

For his part, the main researcher of the study, dr. Daniel Rosenberg said that eating nuts daily is a simple and safe way to improve colon health and prevent cancer.

He explained through the University website: “These results provide a strong scientific basis for the recommendation of people to include walnuts within their daily diet, due to its multiple health benefits, without side effects mentioned”.
