Earlier, Thursday, Indian Water Resources Debashish Mukherjee wrote a letter to Syed Ali Murtaza, secretary of the Pakistan Ministry of Resources, gave official information on this decision.

India has given information by writing a letter to Pakistan

It was written in the letter that the government of India gave an opinion to the government of Pakistan for change in the treaty. The opinion indicates that many basic things in the treaty have changed and that it is necessary to reconsider it.

Reason

He said: “There has been a change in many reasons concerning the change of population, the development of clean energy and the sharing of water according to the treaty. Any treaty must be applied with the right spirit, but Pakistan promotes terrorism on the other side of the border of Jammu-et-Cachemire. Due to the uncertainty of security, India is unable to fully use the Treaty provided with rights. Pakistan has not accepted several conditions of the treaty and has not been prepared for talks with India about the treaty. Consequently, the Government of India decided that the 1960s water Treaty was being suspended.
