The Chamber of Oliveira de Azeméis will obtain the redevelopment works of the Parque Bento Carqueja at 70,000 euros, located in the parish of Palmaz, on the banks of the Caima river.

The allowance will be formalized through a proportion contract with the Palmaz-Adcr Palmaz Sports, recreational and cultural association, “which will allow this institution to carry out maintenance and cleaning activities of this green space, in an area of 3,700 square meters”.
Quoted in a press release, Joaquim Jorge, president of the edition, recalls that “the state of the current degradation of this space derives from the lack of maintenance, which is why it is essential to safeguard its regular maintenance”.
Bento Carqueja Park is located in an area of the river “of great landscape interest is the goal of the intervention to introduce more values at the level of this space, including leisure time, recreational spaces, conviviality and regular sports practices, thus increasing the attraction and promotion of county tourism”.
