The City Council of Ovar approved, in the last meeting of the Agency, a financial support of 26,956 euros for the associations of the parents of the County schools, registering an increase of 13% compared to the previous year.

This financial reinforcement is part of the municipal education evaluation strategy, which was a priority taken by the Municipality. In addition to this direct support to parents’ associations, the Municipality has strengthened investments in school groups through a financing plan that guarantees better conditions for students, teachers and the entire school community.
The mayor of Ovar, Domingos Silva, who also has the education of the Pelouro from, underlines that this financial effort reflects the Municipality’s commitment to create a more dynamic and participatory educational environment. “We believe that an educational community begins with an active involvement of parental associations. This increase in support is a clear sign that Ovar’s city council is evaluated and recognizes the essential role of these associations in school success, the quality of education in our county and the activities they develop”, says Domingos Silva.
Ovar’s city council therefore reiterates education as one of the fundamental pillars of its action, guaranteeing the resources necessary for the correct functioning of schools and promoting greater participation in education in the school life of their students.
