Civil Aviation staff of the Civil Union (SNPVAC) told Losa on Wednesday that he was ready to advance to 700 re -combining and paying compensation procedures to benefit from the members of the cabin staff between 2005 and 2024.

“We currently have 700 other cases of entry, and we are only waiting for the Supreme (Court of Justice) decision (the Court of Justice) to be, and after that, we will automatically advance with the court cases,” Ricardo Benarwas, President of SNPVAS, said in statements regarding the results of the tap that was known today.

The airline achieved a profit of 53.7 million euros in 2024, a decrease of 69.7 % compared to the previous year, as the net result reached 177.3 million, and is affected by the unusual provisions of work and the losses of foreign currencies.

According to SNPVAC, the number of members of the cabin crew covered by the Supreme Court decision “may go around 2000” and may have costs for the airline range between 200 and 300 million euros.

The Supreme Court rejected the TAP complaint about reintegrating and paying compensation to some of the crew of the cabin that was extracted during the epidemic, a lawsuit that may cost millions of euros to the airline.

In the case, the Supreme Court’s decision, known at the end of last year and preserved in the final ruling, over some contracts for the cabin crew that was rejected under the company’s restructuring plan, which is raised poorly, taking into account that it should be combined as effective and with compensation address.

The decision relates to four crew, but it may serve as a basis for hundreds of professionals in the same position.

SNPVAC said today that it is still available to find solutions with the company not to progress with the court’s procedures, after it has already requested a meeting for this.

“We continue to wait and now we have to enter, I would like to say, tomorrow, 700 operations of the crew will enter the union,” said Ricardo Pinarus.

The Federation considered that deepening the value in the results of TAP to protect the results of these operations indicates “transparency” by the company, assuming that there is a problem inherited from other departments and that “the crew will receive what is due to this.”

In response to the questions sent by the Parliamentary Group in the Public Security Directorate, after the news related to the court’s decision, TAP stated that until that date, it has been provided “an amount of 37.2 million euros for the total lawsuits related to the issue under analysis.”

As for the profits obtained last year, the union was satisfied because “the collective agreements were an investment that the company was making in the workers, the company’s growth and appreciation of the company.”

After a pandemic plan and restructuring, between March 2020 and March 2021, the region came out 1514 people from the company

By the beginning of this year, 925 workers of various professional classes were accepted, which were paid to pay a total of 1.74 million euros.
