Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Thursday (20) that it is not necessary to cause stagnation in Brazil in the failure of inflation. He said that price control is the mission of the government and the central bank (BC), which will work to reach the goal. According to Haddad, the government is committed to the initial result of zero and will follow the goal.
“I don’t think you need a recession to reduce inflation in Brazil, EBC. “I think you can manage the economy in a sustainable way, without leaving inflation.”
The minister stated that government teams and BC have made great efforts to build an institutional relationship. He said that the administration of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva underwent an “unprecedented experience” with a two -year move in British Columbia, due to the municipal operational independence.
He said, “It is an unprecedented experience that happened, and I think we are trying to do in the best possible way, with all the differences that have appeared and everything, we seek to do it in the most civilized ways, and we complete this process successfully.”
The Self -Government Act of the Monetary Authority established mandates for the president and managers, and to end the mayor just two years after the start of the term of the President of the Republic. Therefore, Roberto Campus Nito, who was appointed by former President Geer Bolsonaro, led to BC until December of last year.
He added: “Now, we have a council that still has former government managers. Therefore, it is a two -year -old transfer,” referring to economic policy managers before British Colombia, Dugo Gillen, and the regulation of the financial system and the decision, nominated by former President Geer Bolsonaro, whose mandate continues until December this year.
