The project has an expected period for eight months, with technical training, support for commercial structure and logistical services for egg distribution. The expectation is the production of more than 20,000 eggs in this period, with part of the production of the National Schools Nutrition Program (PNAE). An air -conditioned vehicle will be used to accelerate delivery operations.
Initially, 30 women will receive investment to improve production. The impact of the project will also reach two other producers through training and support, preferably organization and sustainable marketing for production in society.
“The generation of a positive impact goes beyond the work strategy. Through this project, we contribute to food security and support the societies in which we work through a strategic investment that meditates in generating professionalism and generating income. We believe that supporting these women to become heroes of their stories, not only contradicts local economic growth.
Project implementation
The Terra Agricultural Agricultural Agricultural Agricultural Program, funded by Oz Minerals, diagnosed a map of the participants’ file. The poll indicated that more than 80 % of them have already produced eggs, but without applying appropriate techniques or focusing on marketing.
In February, representatives of the companies concerned visited the productive units to assess the different levels of technologies. Producer Marilyn Martins has, for example, a preliminary structure, while Maria da Grava Silva already has a more advanced unit and works as a reference for other participants.
The project includes the implementation of the egg warehouse to receive, store, classify and distribute larger. The goal is to get the municipal inspection seal, and then, the “good producers” certificate. The cooperative and commercial plan will also be organized to ensure effective production management.
This initiative is part of the Vale participation program, which encourages investments in developing the areas where the company operates.
