The head of the Chamber of Commerce of Jordan, Al -ain Khalil Al -Hajj Tawfiq, confirmed that the executive office of the German Arab Chamber of Commerce and its board of directors agreed to hold a meeting in the kingdom, in response to the appeal submitted by the Chamber.
Al -Hajj Tawfiq said that the Chamber had presented its invitation, during the joint meeting of the Executive Office and the Board of Directors of Arab Trade and German Industry, which was held today, Monday, in the German Berlin capital.
He added that the invitation of the Chamber had been accepted and welcomed by the members of the Executive Bureau, especially since His Majesty, King Abdullah II, had met during his recent visit to Berlin, German owners and companies, and invited them to visit the Kingdom and see investment opportunities.
Al -haj al -Hajj Tawfiq said that the German Arab Chamber would coordinate with Jordan’s trade to agree on the specified date and all other details, describing it as an important achievement for the Kingdom because it will be the first meeting of the Executive Bureau outside Germany.
He stressed that the meeting will accompany him, organizing an Arab-German commercial forum, in Amman, which is a strong opportunity for Jordan to present investment opportunities for Arab and German investors, as well as the opportunities available in many commercial and services sectors, in particular religious and historical tourism.
And Al -Hajj Tawfiq, that the forum will focus on reconstruction projects in the region, in particular in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, which allows Jordan to be the center and the seat of German companies in this regard, in addition to strengthening Arab -Agevantes relations through the creation of commercial and investment partnerships.
According to the president of the Chamber, during the meeting, the minutes of the joint meeting of the Executive Office and the Board of Directors which were held during the month of September 2024, in addition to examining the report of the President and the Secretary General’s report.
During the meeting, the financial conditions of the German Arab Chamber of Commerce were examined, and the final account of the past year was discussed in 2024, in addition to approving the budget project of the Chamber for the year 2026 to present it to the General Assembly, in addition to seeing the activities of the Chamber for the year 2025-2026.
The participation of the Chamber of Commerce of Jordan in Reunion intervenes within the framework of its members in the German Arab Chamber of Commerce, by which it hopes to improve coordination and concerted efforts to improve the size of trade between the Arab countries and Germany.
It should be noted that Al -Hajj Tawfiq is the third deputy chief of the German Arab Chamber of Commerce, because he was elected from the General Assembly last year.
It should be noted that the German Arab Chamber of Commerce was created in 1976 with the aim of building economic cooperation bridges between Germany and the Arab countries, while the volume of commercial exchange between the two parties reached 62 billion euros in last year 2023.
Al -Aain Al -Hajj Tawfiq also chairs the delegation of Jordanian Chambers of Commerce, participating in the work of the twenty -eighth Arab German economic forum, which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in the capital, Berlin, under the slogan “expanding the prospects of the German -German partnership.”
The forum will attend a high level presence of civil servants, decision -makers, investors and businessmen from the Arab world and Germany, with the aim of strengthening economic relations and expanding the areas of commercial cooperation and investment between the two parties.
