“Not to know when this situation will end,” said Carlos Martins.
ULS Santa Maria will have a 24 -clock mode meetings and points, “to try to realize the effective response capacity of the institution”, not only in critical areas, such as surgical blocks, emergency services, and intensive care, but in the vicinity of the local health unit that goes to Mafra.
He said: “It is clear that the priority that has moved to the hospital area, but we also analyze with primary health care what the ability is at this time that professionals are not exposed to danger and their practice, but also naturally patients.”
In response to a question about the length of generators, the head of the institution explained that by the weekend, it lasted 48 hours, with an average of a load.
“Today we were in a shipment of maximum activity, so it could last between 24 and 36 hours, and the first decision I made was guidelines to gain fuel to fill generators and prepare for a few days,” he said, noting that it was the first decision he made “before anything else.”
According to Carlos Martins, all of this at this moment works normally: “The three generators are in full loading, and therefore theoretically we have 24 hours with fuel that was intended for emergency interaction, but it is clear that we will have a greater ability, if necessary, hoping that we will not hope, of course.”
