The Brazilian triple jazz for the first time in Portugal and with a new album music

They are 25 years old in 2025, about to release a new album, tenth of their career. They are the current trio, one of the most prominent jazz music that played in Brazil, and the album, which will be released in June in Brazil and November of Europe, is only the title 25 – Which confirms the coincidence between the years of its existence and the current year. “The group was born of the rapprochement that was between us,” the public pianist Fabio Torres, who founded the current trio in 2000 alongside Pa Paulo Paulili and the dramaticist Edo Ribeiro, is a training that is still to this day. As trilogy, this is his first appearance in Portugal, but since the musicians Fabio and Polo actually acted here, in the follow -up of the singer Rosa Basos at concerts here in May 2005 and July 2008.

Returning to the formation of the group: “We played with clubs, here in the city of Sao Paulo, and when we met our hair with great aesthetic convergence and musical goals.” They started playing in studios and one day in one of the Japanese products, challenging them to record a record. “I really liked what he heard and went to recording. In this first album, the group had no name, it was only Fabio Torres, Bolly Bolly and Edwaro. As it was called the album presentThe audience and the press began to contact us the current triple. This first album was released in 2005, which is now twenty years old, and it was necessary to wait another six years to look another, baptized, Volume 2. “At this stage, we had a lot of work, and a lot of cooperation, playing with many other artists,” explains Fabio. This made them not yet focused on the profession of the trio. But from the second album, its own production was imposed. The option of the current trio of jazz, according to Fabio Torres, was “a natural thing”: “Jazz shows itself as an area in which the music can emerge, his voice can be heard, a space of creativity, and the space in which musicians can be musicians, although he follows other single players.

The fact that they registered with the Paquito D’Arivera Cuban player, with the SOu Paulo orchestra or with singers returning to a constant in the life of the group, Fabio explains: “The profession of the trio has always been like this, we are doing a big album, and then, one of us in the song Brazilian, to a large extent, like ARTISTS, like Brazil Grazil, Javan, Deopan Kitano Feloso, Gilberto Gil … We played with many of these people in our career, and thus our convergence of the song.

The new record of the current trio, 25It will again be completely useful. “He is ready and we will launch it on the platforms as soon as we arrive at the trip,” says Fabio. “It is a useful record, more authored than re -reading. There is only one piece of Chico Buarque and another of Minas Gerais Milton Nascimento and Lô Borges. The other pieces are Lee and Bolly. It is a very interesting album, because the current trio, instead of absorbing quiet things, always ignores, looking for a new voice, which is new.”
