The humanitarian Foundation for Gaza claims to press Israel to distribute help in the North

The private organization of the humanitarian Foundation for Gaza (Ghf) declared Saturday that he continues to press the Israeli government to allow them to distribute food in the north of Gaza, besieged and with about one million people only in Gaza City.

“GHF continues to press the government officials to facilitate access to greater help and open further assistance points to the north. This is vital to ensure that the help is accessible to all those who need”, the company has reported today in a note.

The distribution of a very limited quantity of food through militarized complexes, controlled by the North American security contractors, for five days to thousands of malnutrite and exhausted gazatias – many with children – to move and cross dangerous areas to get something in the mouth.

According to Ghf, today they managed to distribute Tel al Sultan, in the southern city and raise at the Rafah radius, the load of a total of 30 trucks with food; which is equivalent to 1.6 million meals. However, no food reached north. “This raises the total number of meals distributed to date at around 3,834,022” within five days, says the declaration. The population of Gazatí is 2.1 million, half a child.

The organization also reiterated that “no deaths have been recorded in any of its militarized distribution complexes in these five days. However, Gazati’s health sources warn that more than a dozen people have been demolished by Israeli fire near the help centers or when they were heading towards them.

To reduce hunger in the strip, at least the entry of about 600 daily trucks with food, as well as medicines, fuel and water is required, according to the United Nations estimates, which until the imposition of Israel was responsible for the distribution of the help among the most needy population. From March 2, for almost three months, Israel has totally vested the entry of any offer to Gaza, pushing hunger to 2.1 million Palestinians. (Efe)
