The Russian attacks during the high fire of 30 hours in Easter, announced by President Vladimir Putin during the weekend, killed three people in the Kerson region in southern Ukraine, said the local governor.
Governor Oleksandr Prokudin wrote on Telegram that the victims occurred in the last 24 hours, adding that three other people were injured.
In total, Russia has violated the high fire more than 2,900 times, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a statement on Telegram at dawn on Monday.
Zelenskyy said that the Russian forces carried out 96 robbery operations along the front line, bombarded Ukrainian positions more than 1,800 times and used hundreds of drones during the top fire.
“The nature of Ukrainian actions will continue to be similar to a mirror: we will respond to silence with silence and our blows will be a defense against Russian blows. Actions always speak more than words,” he said.
Putin announced a temporary truce in Easter on Saturdayinvoking humanitarian reasons.
Ukraine said he would return any genuine fire of Moscow, but expressed skepticism about Kremlin’s intentions.
Shortly after, both parties exchanged accusations of violations. The high fire expired at midnight, local time after Easter Sunday.
During Monday night, the Russian forces fired three missiles against the regions of Kerson and Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine, as well as 96 Shahed drones aimed at other parts of the country, said the Ukraine Air Force.
The Ukraine Air Force reported that it has sacrificed 42 drones, while another 47 were blocked on the flight.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian drones caused a fire in an “attachment” and a “food company”, wrote Serhii Lysak on Telegram.
No one was injured in the attack, he said. An un specified infrastructure object was damaged in the Cherkasy region at night, said Governor Ihor Taburets in Telegram.
In a statement on Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry declared that Moscow’s forces “strictly observed the high fire and remained in the previously occupied lines and positions.”
He accused Ukraine of violating the fire of high the fire 4,900 times, including six attempts of robbery operations, 1,404 artillery attacks, several rocket and mortar pitchers, and 3,316 attacks with unmanned aircraft attacks against Russian troops.
The Ministry said that as soon as the Fire Alto expired, the Russian Army “resumed the special military operation” in Ukraine.
