The demonstration against Vučić joins more than 100,000 people in Belgrade

Police also states that the demonstration was peaceful for the most part, and there were no registered incidents of the majority. Protesters accuse Vučić supporters of disturbing the manifestation and provocative confrontations.
“Today’s protest was completely peaceful until Mr. President and his supporters sent provocaters to cause incidents and possible bloodshed,” said Svetlana Muro, a resident of Belgrade who participated in the demonstration.
Aleksandar Vučić, referring to the demonstration, said that almost two dozen people were arrested for inciting violence and vandalism: “Twenty -two people were arrested for committing crimes against the properties of other people, but also from the Republic of Serbia, for attacking the police and attacking others.”
The Serbian leader also recognized the will of the people and urged the government to accept the message and demands of the protesters: “We understand the message well and all the employees in power must understand the message when so many people meet. We will have to transform and learn a lot,” said Vučić.
Vučić also understood that he would mark the elections: “Serbian citizens want to change the government in the elections,” he added.
