The Security Council requires the protection of Syria minorities

The Security Council has strongly denounced the “mass killings” of civilians in Syria, asking the transition authorities to “protect all the Syrians, regardless of their breed or religion”, as well as the “immediate endowment” of violence.
The 15 members of the Council have released a presidential declaration unanimously to “strongly condemn” the vast work of flow committed in the provinces of Lattakia and Mordace in Syria since March 6, expressing “his profound concern about the impact of this violence on the escalation of tensions between the seven in Syria”.
And if the sectarian violence raised the fears of the minorities, then the “constitutional declaration” that President Ahmed al -Shara signed, the day before, increased the degree of concern, since the Kurds rushed to his refusal, because it does not provide to guarantee the rights of the various national and religious components.
On the other hand, at the first visit of Baghdad after the collapse of the Assad regime, the Syrian Foreign Minister Asian Asaad al -Shaibani confirmed that his country is ready to “improve cooperation” with Baghdad with the aim of facing ISIS.
Al -Shaibani said, in a joint press conference with its Iraqi counterpart, Fouad Hussein, that “Baghdad and Damascus are linked to a common destiny due to the ties of history, culture and civilization for centuries”. He stressed that “Iraqis are the most inclusive of the challenges that the Syrians face to reconstruct their country”.
