Sudan’s escalation came in response to a declaration of the Kenyan government last week in which the term “Administration of the Sudanese armed forces” was used, rather than the Sudan government. The Sudanese government expressed concern about what it called “wrong descriptions and misleading connotations in the Kenyan declaration”. The declaration urged the government of Kenya to reconsider its approach and work in line with the United Nations Charter and the African Union, which obliges Member States after having interfered in mutual affairs, instead of looking for unilateral initiatives that threaten to divide the region.

The Sudanese government has affirmed its commitment to a peaceful solution for the crisis, preserving the security of state institutions and preparing the country for a sustainable democratic transformation, in collaboration with real partners who support a peace of the Peace of Afudanese peace that respects the sovereignty and the unity of the country.

The diplomatic relations between the two countries have worsened, after Kenya hosted a meeting of “rapid support forces” and some political forces, in Nairobi last February, which led to the signing of a political card to form a parallel government in the country, in the areas controlled by the “rapid support forces”, in exchange for the defect authority led by the South Army, based on carrying.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kenyan expatriate affairs has rejected the “accusations of Sudanese military leadership”, who consider Kenya responsible for the tragic conflict in Sudan. In a statement, last Tuesday, he expressed concern about a message sent by the administration of the Sudanese armed forces “to foreign embassies who accuse Kenya of interfere with the conflict.

He said that the Kenyan government, in coordination with the efforts of regional peace, has held meetings with the Sudanese rival groups in Nairobi and in other places, with the aim of achieving peace and that his role was neutral and based on his firm commitment in peace in the region.

He added that some Sudanese leaders held meetings in Nairobi raised the concern of Sudanese leadership, who accused Kenya of supporting a government in exile. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kenya explained that the convocation of the Dialogue Forum in Nairobi does not mean support for the results of the meeting, which required the formation of a government in exile “as it was established”.

On the other hand, a drone in the early hours of Saturday morning targeted the airport of the city of Kassala in Eastern Sudan. According to local sources, the fuel stores targeted in March at the airport, without recording material losses. It is the first time that the marches attack a city located in the State of the Red Sea, east of the town, which includes the city of Port Sudan, the temporary capital of the country.
