The US and Lithuanian authorities are trying to drain a swampy area in Lithuania, in a continuous effort to recover four American army soldiers who have disappeared three days ago.

A team of the US marine diversion is being sent to the scene and the Armed Forces of Polish offered to send engineers, additional equipment and 150 people to provide assistance.
“This will be a long and difficult recovery operation, but we are absolutely committed to bringing our soldiers home,” said Major General Curtis Taylor, commander of the 1st armored division.
“I am still incredibly impressed by the discipline, commitment and camaraderie of this unit while trying to recover their missing comrades.”
The soldiers were given as disappeared during an exercise in the general training field of Silvestras Žukauskas in Pabradė, a city less than 10 kilometers from the Belarus border.
The Baltic, Lithuania, Litonia and Estonia countries are NATO members and have had tense relations with Russia and Belarus, since they declared their independence from the Soviet Union in 1990.
