Salamanca City Council offers a new free workshop on dog education to facilitate that animals can interact, learn and develop their social skills through collective walking, and enhance their ability to manage self -management and managing frustration.
The aim of this is to get calm and comfortable paths with the dog to enjoy without tension or withdrawal of the belt thanks to the development of animal control and better environment management.
The workshop consists of a theoretical session “on the line”, on Friday, May 9, 7:45 pm. Until 9:45 pm, the practical sessions on Saturday 17 and 24 May in the Aldehuela tree, a first group from 6:00 pm. To 7:15 pm and a second group from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm, with a maximum of five dogs in each group. Registration can be made from today through the website www.saludsalamanca.es and can only be registered in a group, you cannot repeat the session.
In order to participate, dogs should not face serious/aggressive problems with dogs and people, and the belt will be used with at least two meters, skewer necklaces, hanging or the like, and it is advisable to carry water and prizes and some linguistic games or rope ball.
Dog adoption
It must be remembered that the Salmanca City Council promotes the adoption of dogs through the Municipal Animal Protection Center in Salamanca, at the phone number 686 622 689, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. From 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm
Before adopting, it is important to reflect that animals are not a gift or a game, but they are a long -term responsibility and great commitment, because they need their continuous and hygiene maintenance, with a good diet, education, exercise, vaccination and veterinary control.
However, at the same time, the company provides important benefits for emotional health for people. This is why it is necessary to choose the most compatible animal with a person and this decision is not made based on the side. For example, it is advisable to avoid the elderly for the high energy, exercises and the game. The space area is also an aspect that must be taken into account to avoid stress and bad animal behaviors.
The presence of a pet requires greater awareness of respect not only for the animal itself, but also for the rest of the pets and the people who live with them in the same space.
