Funchal Hall of the Municipal Assembly received a subordinate conference for “Funchal: Eductiono For Digital Pitchenship”, organized by the Funchal City Council, in partnership with the European Club of Dr. Eduardo Brazão De Castro Eduardo Brazdo. The initiative is part of the European Day celebrations, which are today.
At the opening of the conference, Council member Helena Lille, responsible for full education, integration and citizenship, indicated the role of digital education and literacy as basic pillars of a more comprehensive and participatory society.
He said: “We are talking about ending our citizens with basic skills so that they can sail safely and trust in the digital world, which is a global increasing world and is often complicated.”
A warning of the increasing risks associated with the use of the Internet, such as online crimes, has strengthened the council member the importance of enhancing moral values and training throughout the life cycle, so that people can use technologies safely and constructly.
