Today in the Nobel Hall in the Funchal City Council, 24 protocols with the societies of the social region, with the support of the assistants, were signed for a total amount of 723,099 euros, information reports from the Funchalenese municipality.
On this occasion, the House Pelro, Helena Leal, confirmed the current executive commitment to support the Funchal families and citizens.
“It is an investment to finance social societies that work daily with us and with Funchal families, and it is an investment in a global value of 723,099 euros.”
Helina Lille confirmed that this commitment may be achieved by the municipality through “a group of training programs that have been implemented, both at the level of social support granted directly to families, which increased the taking of the current executive authority, by 233 %, as is the case with great support for associations that have a deep knowledge of how to deal with these social problems.”
The council member also confirmed that the municipality’s goal is to “ensure that people and families can support the escalation of an equal opportunities.”
He also added that although it is necessary to provide direct support to people and families, it is equally necessary to “invest in programs that create a set of mechanisms and give people tools so that they can fully integrate into our city and society.”
Helina Lille also said that by the end of the semester, the current executive authority will invest globally for 50 million euros, allocated to social support, training and direct intervention programs, through municipal structures and through support for social societies.
Finally, the mayor thanked all the work developed by these associations, which strengthens this “through your daily work and direct and permanent communication with our citizens, it becomes possible to measure and follow the real needs of the population.
