Madeira Plant Garden – Engineer. On Saturday, Rui Viewa hosted the celebration of the regional day of the engineer. At that time, Miguel Branco, who ends his term as head of the Madeira region’s board of directors, recalled the importance of engineering in Madeira, from the first settlers to this day. He mentioned the primary role of engineering in sustaining and modernizing the archipelago, and saying that “engineering has always been, and the driving force that turns obstacles to opportunities will remain.”
This year, the celebration focused on the importance of engineering in the basic sector, while highlighting the engineering contribution to the evaluation of local production, the preservation of landscapes and agricultural modernization. Three engineers in this sector were honored: António Miguel Franquinho Aguiar (Agricultural Engineering), Jack Artur Faru da Silva (mechanical engineering) and José Carlos Antonis Marquise (chemical engineering), with roads in public, largest and oxidous regions.
Miguel Branco thanked the team that accompanied him during the past six years, members of regional colleges, and the structure of the national system, especially to the administrative director of the region, Kamcho. The Press President says that the outgoing president will say goodbye to the feeling of the mission that has been accomplished, and passes the testimony to Eng. Beatorese Jardim, who will be the first Federin woman to lead the matter in the region, as of April 1.
The event was attended by head of engineers, regional government representatives, Madeira University, heads of regional departments and other professional entities.
During the regional today’s party ceremony, the regional secretary of equipment and infrastructure, Pedro Vino, spoke in the representation of the regional prime minister.
Pedro Vino praised the selection of the plant garden in Madeira – Eng. Roy Vieira as the ceremony, grumbling to the name assignment to space in 2009 as a “fair greeting to a noticeable political, artistic and scientific course.” The most prominent Rui Viewra “is a technical, social, moral and political reference, which was very worthy.”
Referring to the contribution of engineers, he said, “They were real pillars of our economy and society and advanced”, while highlighting their role in “defining and implementing the best solutions for the sustainable development of our region, as well as continuous improvement of people’s lives.”
He also stressed the flexible nature of the managers, who are formed through the physical and geographical difficulties and challenges of the island’s lands: “Art and creativity placed on the ground to overcome the material and geographical conditions of our region also from our identity as an obsession.”
During the disgusting ceremony of the regional engineer day, Robina Lille also spoke, and received “all directions, presidents and secretaries of the different regions of the country”, as well as representatives of other professional applications, especially “all engineers and engineers here and their entire team.” He also stressed the role of this professional group in developing random access memory.
