Pan Alert for tree courts without appropriate care Funchal News Madeira News – Information from everyone for everyone!

The pan realizes the complaints that were submitted about the cut of the tree, some of which are without any monitoring, supervision or compliance with the legal rules, which raises serious questions about the procedures adopted by the responsible entities.
The last situation was aware of Ban, through a complaint about the pieces of rosewood in Quinta de Serado, in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, in an area classified as a national reserve for agriculture.
The tree, which has not shown any signs of danger, was slaughtered, without reasons for such an act and without monitoring the Public Security Police (PSP), as is usually required in these interventions.
The party says: It is important for the competent entities to provide appropriate clarifications on this procedure and ensure that similar situations do not occur without an appropriate legal and technical framework.
The pan argues that, to avoid this type of position, the legislation must be more clear and effective in protecting the heritage of trees. For this reason, Pan suggests in its electoral program the creation of a system for classifying and evaluating trees of public attention and landscapes, which allows the identification, protection of the samples, environmental, cultural or historical values, which enhances more responsibility and transparent management of the region.
“We cannot continue to watch the trees as if they were available. When a healthy tree is slaughtered without justification, not only the scene that loses, it is the confidence of the population in public administration that is at risk. We need clear rules and inspection that does not fail,” says Válter Ramos, Pan Mondira candidate in the national elections.
In this sense, the pan will send a request for clarification to the Institute of Forests and the Preservation of Nature (IFCN) within its scope and continues to defend the implementation of the classification system and the valuation of trees, as expected in its programmatic proposal.
