According to the Reuters report, Hamas has received this new proposal through intermediaries. As part of this program, 10 living Israeli hostages occupied by Hamas will be released into two groups, while instead, the partial return of the Gaza Strip army and the 70-day ceasefire will be applicable. At the same time, Israel will also release many Palestinian prisoners, in which many are faced with long -term sentences.

Israel ended the ceasefire in March

So far, there is no official response to this Israeli proposal. On March 18, Israel ended the cease-fire agreement in January and began its military action in Gaza. Hamas had previously declared that they could release all hostages, but this will happen when Israel agrees to go back from Gaza.

At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on the other hand, said that he will only accept the temporary cease-fire in exchange for the release of the hostages. They believe that this war will only end when Hamas is completely abolished.
