SMN forecasts Temperatures to oscillate at around 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) in large bands in the country this week, in particular in the northern and western Pacific states, as well as parts of central and eastern Mexico.

Maximum temperatures from 40 to 45 C: Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Sinaloa, Northwest Durango, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Morelos, North and Southwest Puebla, Oaxace, Chiapas, Veracruz, Tabasco and Campeche.
Maximum temperatures from 35 to 40 C: Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Guanajuato, Southwest of the State of Mexico, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.

The SMN warned residents of Oaxaca and Chiapas to pay attention to the warnings issued by local public security officials, recalling that heavy rains could cause muds and sudden floods.
