He said that certain final sanctions, including the approval of the Union Ministry of Finance, are pending and should meet soon. The paramilitary force currently has 193 battalions to protect the two fronts.

He informed that a sector will be built in Jammu to strengthen security along the international border in India-Pakistan in Jammu and Punjab and another sector will be built in Mizoram for better monitoring of the Bangladesh border.
The existing sectors of the Jammu border region led by the assistant classification of the Inspector General (DIG) are found in Réjouri, Sundarbani, Jammu and Indreshwar Nagar. In its region of Mizoram and Cachar Frontier, seat at Assam, these sectors are in Silchar, Aizawl and Manipur. Sources have said that the BSF will launch a recruitment campaign to appoint men and women for these new battalions, after which they will be trained.
