Christus Health innovates in the US $ 100 million hospital in Los Cabos

Christus Health inaugurated on Tuesday his hospital Christus Muguerza of 2 billion peso (US $ 100 million) in Los Cabos, Baja California on, which he expects to be operational in the first half of 2028.
Christus Health is an international non -profit health system based in Texas. Christus Muguerza was created in Mexico in 2001 following the merger of Christus Health and Muguerza Hospital, Monterrey.
“We are delighted to extend our presence to Mexico and provide world class health care services to Cabo San Lucas, a region that attracts nearly 4 million visitors per year,” said the president and chef statement.
“We will invest more than 100 million US dollars in this hospital, which will contribute to health services in the region with health professionals capable of treating very complex cases.”
The 23,671 square meter hospital will initially have 72 beds, 44 medical offices, four emergency rooms and three operating rooms.
It will house nearly 30 medical specialties, including cardiology, oncology, gynecology, emergency care, family medicine, pediatrics and neurosurgery, as well as specialized clinics such as a breast clinic. Christus Health plans to employ 250 clinicians, specialists and other staff of the establishment.
Christus Muguerza Los Cabos will serve more than 350,000 inhabitants of the region, including 23,000 American citizens who live in the region, as well as tourists.
“The patient and his family are still at the center of our approach and our work,” said Horacio Garza Ghio, CEO of Christus Muguerza. “We provide humanized services, emphasizing compassionate care, seeking not only physical health but also emotional and spiritual health.”
The company firm Fernando Romero, led by the architect Fernando Romero – Mexican businessman Carlos Slim – designed the hospital.
“In collaboration with the health system, in recent months, we have worked on the development of the provision to ensure that it is the best hospital hospital, with the best technology, without sacrificing efficiency and functionality to provide the best service to the community,” said Romero.
The company plans to integrate advanced technologies in the hospital, including a virtual assistant for obstetric nursing care, algorithms for prediction and control of post-surgical pain, and artificial intelligence for thoracic and mammary imagery, according to Christus Health.
