During the camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) in the Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh, a case was recorded against eight people, including seven teachers, for having forced Hindu Guru Ghasidas Central University students to offer Namaz. In the FIR, the designated persons were notified to attend the declaration. Police started investigating the issue.

According to information, 159 students were forced to offer Namaz during the NSS camp which was held from March 26 to April 1 in the village of Shivatrai under the limit of the Kota police station in the Bilaspur district, while only four of them were Muslim students. The investigation was launched after the students’ return and protested, after which the organizations on the right demanded an action.

The main superintendent of the police Rajneh Singh was a committee of four members under the supervision of the City Police Superintendent (Kotwali) Akshay Sabdara to investigate the case. A case was recorded on Saturday after the investigation report was submitted to the SSP. A case was recorded against eight people, including seven members of the faculty of Guru Ghasidas Central University, under the related sections of the Indian justice code.

At the same time, a case has also been registered in the promotion of enmity between groups on the basis of religion, injuring religious feelings and other crimes under the law on religious freedom of chhattisgarh. No one has yet been arrested in this case. Kota’s police station in – Charge Sumit Kumar said on Sunday that the case newspaper was found. With this, the investigation into this case began.

The university management media in -charge MN Tripathi had declared that the students had accused the coordinator of the NSS and manager of the force program involved in religious activities. The coordinator was suspended. This is not the first incident. Even before that, there were incidents of alleged insults to the Hindu deities, breaking the temple of Lord Bajrangbali and offering prayers in the administrative building.
