Game dare:: A surprising incident has been revealed from a primary school in Gujarat. About 25 students in class 5 to 7 of primary school would have injured themselves from the blade on the pencil tail under a “dare game”. The case was revealed when a tutor concerned informed the school administration.

According to assistant Superintendent of the police Jayveer Garhvi, students of the Mota Munjisar primary school in Bagsara in the Amreli district challenged themselves to injure themselves or pay 10 rupees so as not to do so. He said that around 20-25 students had attacked their hands with a blade.

The case was revealed when a tutor concerned informed the school administration. A meeting of parents-teachers was immediately called upon, but later the parents contacted the police and demanded an in-depth investigation into the case.

Garhvi said that the incident report would be subject to the district education manager (DEO). He said that no criminal intention had been found, but if a criminal act should not take measures accordingly. A police team visited the school and recorded parents’ statements.
There are around 300 students in school, so the authorities are now focusing on measures to ensure awareness of the well-being and mental health of students.
