“Health” is launching the project to improve community health intervention …

The Ministry of Health has launched a project aimed at improving intervention at society in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPS) for children and adolescents, including refugees, cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA), in the presence of organizations concerned, relations with government institutions, international organizations and company organizations civil.

A declaration from the ministry said that the project is in accordance with the vision of economic modernization which aims to improve the quality of health and education services, as it seeks to support the Jordanian government in the implementation of the “National Health of Mental Health and dependence 20222-2026” Jordan’s commitment to the United Nations sustainable development objectives.


The director of the Directorate of Health of Women and Children, Dr. Hadeel Al -Sayyat, declared in his speech, a representative of the Minister of Health, Dr Firas Al -hawari, that the partnership with “La Jica” and the ministry began in the field of mental health since 2020, and that the National Mental Health Survey has been implemented, the improvement of capacity mental and mental health.


She stressed that school health is an essential pillar in the development of the complete child, because he seeks to improve his physical, psychological and social health by awareness, prevention and therapy implemented by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, by emphasizing the supply of a safe environment and early detection of health problems.


She indicated that the project aims to strengthen the capacities of workers in health centers, to develop a specialized training unit to deal with mental health for children and adolescents, to raise awareness among the psychological health of children in a certain number of schools chosen affiliated with the Ministry of Education, benefiting from the Japanese experience in this field, in the organization of studies of studies in Japan, and by sending Japanese experts to work in Japanese experts close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.


In turn, the director of the Directorate of Councils and Councils at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Talal Al -Alameat, said that the ministry has committed to creating a positive educational environment in schools, which is mainly carried out by giving priority to the psychological health of children, noting that the ministry is to work with “JICA” by the implementation of various projects, and the work of Japanese local communities.

The main representative of the “JICA” office in Jordan, Shingo Morewata, said that in recent years, the Jordanian government has faced major challenges, including a large number of refugees, the Koruna pandemic, in particular the economic and social ministries, which constituted a big burden for the ministerials of service, in particular the economic and social missions.


He added that “Jika” was continuously looking to support the Jordanian government by facing these challenges, and with the announcement of the launch of the project, it improves the quality of psychosocial support and mental health services.


For its part, the affairs of the Japanese in charge of Japanese, Tomoko and Watanabi, said that the governments of Japan and Jordan have a strong and long -term partnership, and that the Japanese government achieves the Pivot role that Jordan plays in the region, and the challenges that have been confronted, and that our support remains firm, and the launch ceremony today represent continuation.


For his part, the Director of the School Health Department of the Ministry of Health and the Director of the Project, Dr. Muhammad Al -Ma’iiya, presented a summary of school health and the study of the national survey, the results of which were launched in 2023 on health and psychological care for children and adolescents in Jordan. He also examined the executive plan for the three -year project.


It should be noted that the project is a technical cooperation of three years, and it should be completed by 2028.
