Arctic Circle India Forum 2025:: Sunday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, S. Jaishankar, advising Europe to show a certain sensitivity and mutual interests to develop deep relations with India, said on Sunday that India was looking for partners, not “preachers”.
Jaishankar advocated Russian realism
Jaishankar declared in a transmitted session that India has always recommended “Russian realism” and is “important cohesion” between India and Russia as a supplier of resources and consumer and is “supplemented” in this case. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also criticized the previous efforts of the West without finding the resolution of the Russian-Ukraine conflict without including the resolution of Russia and said that it had disputed the fundamental things of realism.
He said in the forum of the Arctic Circle India that I am a supporter of the realism of America because I am a supporter of the realism of Russia. He said: “I think the best way to connect with today’s America is to find the mutuality of interests, not to offer ideological differences and to leave the chances of working together to weaken.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that these things were largely discussed the effects of the Arctic’s recent developments on the world and the effects of the changing global system. Jaishankar, while answering a question linked to European India, said that instead of preaching, he should start working on the basis of the structure of mutuality.
What does Jaishankar say?
He said that when we look at the world, we are looking for partners, we do not seek preachers, in particular these preachers who do not follow their words in their own country, but preach to other countries. The Minister of Foreign Affairs said: “I think that part of Europe is still in difficulty with this problem. Some parties have changed. ”
Jaishankar said that Europe had achieved reality to some extent. He said that now we have to see if they can move on or not. Jaishankar said: “But from our point of view (if we speak), if we have to associate ourselves, there should be a mutual understanding, a certain sensitivity, interesting interests and it should be made how the world works.”
He said: “And I think that all these tasks are underway at different levels in different parts of Europe, so some countries have progressed, a little less.”
Jaishankar said about India-Russia relations that there is “significant harmony” between the two countries as “resource provider and resource consumer” and that they complement each other in this case. He said that in Russia, we have always adopted an approach to defend Russian realism. During the Russian-Ukraine conflict, India retained relations with Russia and increased the purchase of Russian crude oil despite the growing discomfort of Western countries.
