The University hopes that the draft criminal procedure is not withdrawn to respect the development of the crime

The former lawyer of the lawyer, Abdul Rahim Al -jamii, expressed his hope that the government of Aziz Akhenous will not withdraw the project of a criminal sovereign, and that he will be able to suppress it, contrary to what happened in the government of Abd Al -ilah Benkirane and Saad Al -othmani.

The University declared, during its intervention on Friday evening, in a symposium organized by the Federal Democratic Party in Casablanca, that the two previous governments did not suppress this law, expressing its hope that the current government would not withdraw the copy of the project of the project.

He stressed that the bet lies in the fact that the draft criminal leader is effective in achieving criminal justice and devoting the principle of the fair trial.

The actor in human rights has added, in his intervention, that all actors are betting today that the draft law on criminal proceedings will reach criminal justice and respond to the various recommendations made by political activities and in matters of human rights.

He stressed that the project presented by the Minister of Justice Abdul Latif Wehbe does not reach criminal justice and does not deal with the damage caused, whether with regard to the judicial police, the prosecutor or the investigating judge.

He recorded that this project attends security and political history, while the nature of human rights seems almost absent.

One of the observations raised by the University is that the project of the criminal sovereign must be reinforced against the silence stipulated in article 66 of the current sovereign, stressing that “the right of silence must be guaranteed”.

He also pointed out that the project includes a text linked to audiovisual recording during the theoretical daycare period, as well as the recitation and signature of the files, despite the fact that this technology will only come into force in 2030.

In addition, the former captain continues, with the permission of the Minister of Justice to associations to settle as a civil party in certain questions, despite the fact that the project preacher includes major principles which remain insufficient compared to his enormous.

He stressed that the draft law on criminal procedure comes in the light of high crime rates, and prisons are overcrowded due to the expansion of the spare detention circle, which, according to her, requires urgent intervention for the current situation that penitentiary institutions know.

The university has concluded that the development of crime in Morocco calls for amending legal leaders in order to combat criminals, and thus maintaining public order.
