The Minister of Youth, Eng. Yazan Al -Shadifat, confirmed the depth of the fraternal relations which links Jordan to the Gulf States, which were established by His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brothers, the leaders of the Gulf Sister States, noting that these relations are translated into fruitful strategic partnerships, in particular in the fields of young and sports.
This Came During the Sponsorship of Al -Shudifat TODAY, Sunday, the Launching Ceremony of the Program “Employment of Modern Technology to Reduce the Repercussions of Climate Change for the Year 2025”, Organized by the Minister of Youth in Partnership with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Gulf States, with the participation of youth delegations from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, The Emirates, The Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, with Jordan.
The ceremony was followed by ambassadors and representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the deputy Moataz Al -harout, secretary general of the Ministry of Youth, Dr. Mazen Abu Baqr, the representative of the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Environment, and the representative of UNICEF in Jordan Philip Dallal, with a number of young people and environmental leaders.
Minister Al -Shadifat highlighted the importance of joint programs which aim to allow young people and improve their role in the succession of global challenges, including the first climate change, explaining that the ministry seeks through these initiatives to raise awareness of the environment among young people and motivate them to adopt innovative and sustainable solutions.
For her part, the representative of the Qatari delegation, Amna Al -Kaabi, said that climate change has become one of the most important global challenges, stressing the importance of exploiting modern technology, in particular artificial intelligence, to improve its conscience of society and develop initiatives of innovative young people who contribute to the alleviation of its repercussions.
The program continues until the 21st of this month, including visits to the field in a certain number of governors of the kingdom, where the tour begins from the Governor of Tafila in the South, and includes a visit to the Dana reserve as an integrated environmental model, before the delegations go to the North region to visit Ajloun Governorat and the Royal Botanical Garden.
The program ends with a visit to the Ajloun cable car and the Royal Association for Nature Protection in the Ajloun forest reserve.
The program aims to exchange experiences for young people and to improve the role of technology in the confrontation of climate change, in a framework of regional cooperation and environmental integration and an interactive dialogue platform which allows young people from different Gulf and Jordan countries to provide their ideas and projects, and to extend the perspectives of joint cooperation in the fields of environmental innovation and maintenance.
