The United States and Ukraine have signed a major economic agreement, under which the two countries have agreed to create an investment fund for reconstruction of US-UKRAINE. Thanks to this agreement, the United States will obtain part of Ukraine’s rare mineral resources. This announcement was made jointly by the two countries. The agreement aims to convert America’s aid into economic partnership in the reconstruction of Ukraine after the attack on Russia.
According to the report of the AP news agency, this agreement was concluded when Trump asked Ukraine to pay America’s help in the war against Russia.
At the same time, the American Ministry of Finance said that the agreement had been led by President Donald Trump. This fund will be led by the Department of the Treasury of America and the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
The Minister of Finance, Scott Besant, said that this historic agreement had been concluded today due to the efforts made for President Trump’s peace. This gives a clear message to Russia that America is held with an independent, sovereign and rich Ukraine. He also clearly indicated that no country or person providing weapons or financial assistance to Russia would get any advantage in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Ukraine and America have expressed their confidence to implement this partnership as soon as possible, so that the inhabitants of the two countries can benefit from a direct advantage. Thanks to this agreement, the United States will have the right to invest in Ukraine’s main natural resources such as aluminum, graphite, oil and gas in priority. It was called the “Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of US-Ukraine”.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Swiridenco said the agreement was signed in Washington on April 30. Earlier, it was to be signed during the visit of President Zelanski in the United States in February, but it was postponed due to a dispute between Trump and Zelanski to the White House.
This agreement came at a time when Ukraine has an urgent need for America’s help in the current war with Russia. Ukraine considers him as part of the strategy aimed at maintaining American support. Ukrainian Prime Minister Dennis Shamihal described him as “strategic investment partnership” between the two countries.
