Associations and parties awaiting official funds for the projects of actor of Moroccan women

The Ministry of the Interior heads, in 2025, to finance new projects related to the support and encouragement of the integration of women in political life and the elevation of their representation at the level of public affairs management centers in the kingdom, within the framework of the funds provided by the “support fund to encourage the representation of women” up to date years ago.
The committee responsible for activating this fund has announced the “request for projects n ° 10”, which will be opened until twenty-five next April. He also registered that this request concerns political parties and companies of civil society active in the fields of strengthening the representative capacities of women or the management of local affairs, provided that the date of its establishment dates back to at least two years.
According to a declared announcement of the signing of Mohamed Fawzi, the Governor – the general author of the Ministry of the Interior, the files of financing requests which belong to the organizations which benefited from financial support within the framework of the fund and did not finish the fund itself.
Project financing
In 2009, the “support fund to encourage the representation of women”, which intends to “empower women and improve their integration into political and electoral life at the national level by increasing their representation and improving their role in decision -making in various sectors”; By funding training initiatives and programs that seek to “overcome the structural and cultural difficulties that prevent women’s participation in political life”.
In her philosophy, male parliamentary women, teams within professional rooms, members of the advisory organizations of elected councils, as well as teams of local and regional groups and in the councils and regions of workers, then potential candidates and members of political parties.
According to official statistics, the funded fund funded 93 projects in 2022 and 58 in 2019, as well as 93 projects in 2018 and 71 others in 2016. During 2015, it managed to finance 86 projects and 68 in 2009, that is to say during the year of its official launch.
The value of the annual support published by the fund aforementioned in 2022 reached 11.43 million dirhams, compared to 8.03 million dirhams and 13.45 million dirhams in the years 2019 and 2018, respectively. With regard to the number of organizations benefiting from support during the year 2022, he reached 93 organizations distributed more than 87 local companies and 4 national companies, as well as two political parties.
The total ceiling of financial costs for financial projects is determined within the framework of the support fund at 140,000 dirhams for each project, the State contributes around 70%, on the basis of its implementation within six months, except during the period of the electoral campaigns in which these activities stop.

Amna Al -Toubali, researcher in questions of women and childhood, underlined: “The importance of this fund because she provides important funds to associations and organizations of women from the parties in order to carry out campaigns, visits and training courses, especially in the rural world, in order to support the political participation of women, appointment and votes.”
