“Rahma” is a distinctive staging experience that highlights architecture and deepened the character

The “Rahma” series, which is shown on the MBC 5 channel, has been very successful in the Moroccan and Arabic dramatic scene.

In this dialogue with Hespress, director Mohamed Ali Al -Mabbud talks about his experience of realization with this work, which was widely resonated with the public, highlighting the challenges he encountered during filming and other subjects.

What attracted you to the scenario of the series “Rahma”, before you start working there?

Bushra was the one who introduced me to the story and explained some details to me on this subject. What I liked is the reality in which these mothers live in their children, to the point that they are forced to fight for them.

I went to the center before starting the shooting, and there were many mothers with their children who fight alone in the absence of parents; She loved the story of showing that the woman fighting for the love of her child, in order to give her another opportunity in life, and the love that brings them together with the family.

What I also liked to work and what he distinguished is that sometimes, when we are faced with important and difficult problems, God opens up other ways of being the best solution. And what will be mercy on the development of events better than you have experienced with “David” in his dark world.

The casting of the series won praise, how were the actors chosen to play roles?

The choice of casting work was shared with the script and the productive writer, each brought a representative to play a specific role. I discovered actors that I did not know before; But they succeeded in the roles they played in front of the screen, and we are satisfied with the end result.

What is your vision of achieving this work?

It is important that the public knows that, thank God, we took our time in this work and we had sufficient possibilities for work; Because the management of the actor requires time to enter the character and feel it. It is not easy, especially when you have actors such as “David” or “Tauriya” who require depth in the character. We were lucky because we were able to work widely on this project in order to present something at a high level.

What I loved in this project is that we have given enough time to work, because it is important that you have the possibility of providing something good and clean; Because the Moroccan public deserves to see distinguished works, not works that have been filmed quickly or without precise planning, because it does not serve Moroccan production.

This is not my first series, and every series that I learn from something new. I think that every time I presented a job in which I dressed, and it becomes better than I was in previous projects. The outing also needs creative choices. The series does not only concern filming; On the contrary, common sense between the director and the actor, and that is what distinguishes work and makes the feeling strong. So I just argue.

How did you receive the interaction of the public with the decorations used and the viewer’s visualization?

Praise to God, it was a beautiful work, and I worked with a foreign imaging manager and another Moroccan; Because I wanted to try a new style, be it in terms of photography or distribution of scenes.

We have very beautiful architectural decorations, and the city of Rabat loved it to film it, so I wanted to give it its value because we have a wonderful architecture. Therefore, we took our time to photograph, light up and take the blows, because a few seconds that required us in photography for two hours.

The technical team of the series was also professional, and thank you God, we designed the episodes a scene; This is essential for the Moroccan artist industry, with the availability of levels in the level which makes us achieve good results closer to foreign works.

The series participated in competition with Arab works and made important figures.

Frankly, I did not expect this success and I did not think about it. We have worked with our hearts; But we are satisfied with the result and the joy of work manufacturers, including actors, technicians and a production company. Despite the torment we have experienced and the difficulties in photographing the scenes, in particular linked to the feelings of crying and sadness, we are very satisfied with the renown that the series has reached and the Moroccans have interacted with it.

What is your response to those who see this “mercy” has increased the level of Moroccan drama?

I can’t talk about it because I am the employer; But what I say is that I did my best in this project with the capabilities available.

What is the Moroccan public expecting in future episodes? Will the end be open or a prelude to a second part?

The episode of the thirty years that I forgot, and I hope that the public will follow the series until the end, and that it remains at the same level and at the same quality with which he started, and, God wants, it can be another part.
