Bakkar stressed that this honor reflects the interest of His Majesty, that God protects and preserves him, in all groups of Jordanian society, and honors the category of intellectuals, writers, academics and criticism.
Bakkar stressed that “honoring the head of the country made me very happy because he is of my homeland, and one of his great leaders who honors creators and skills in various fields”.
Regarding his latest creative achievements, Bakkar said that during the current year, eleven books were published for him, including eight on Jordanian and Arab publishing houses.
It is reported that Dr. Youssef Bakkar is a Jordanian writer and university professor, born in the region of Jisr Al -Majma’ah in the Northern Valley of Jordan. He obtained a doctorate in literary criticism of the Department of the Arabic language of the University of Cairo in 1972 and studied in a number of Jordanian and Arab universities. He is a member of the Jordanian Writers Association, scientific research committees at the University of Jordan and the University of Jordan Science and Technology, member of the Supreme National Committee for Scientific Research of the Supreme Council of Sciences and Technology, and the Committee for the Preparation of Conditions and Standards of Scientific Promotion at the University of Yarmouk.
Bakkar has won numerous prizes in appreciation of its scientific efforts in literature and criticism, in particular: The Award for Excellence in Teaching, Mashhad University, 1973.
