In order to prevent the organization of demonstrations, many roads have been closed and restrictions have been imposed on certain social media platforms, in addition to the prohibition to demonstrate four days.
However, despite the ban, many gathered outside the Istanbul police headquarters, the city’s municipality council and outside the siege of the Republican Popular Party to which Imamoglu belongs.

The Turkish Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerli Qaya, said today, on Thursday, the authorities had arrested 37 suspects for them when they have published “provocative leaflets inciting crime and hatred” concerning the arrest of the mayor of Istanbul Akram Imamoglu.
Türkiye arrested Imamoglu, the most eminent political competitors of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday to include corruption and assistance to a terrorist group, in a decision criticized by the main opposition party and considered as an “attempt to count the next president”.
