PSD, CDS and PPM renewed on Friday “a principle of agreement” to form a new coalition, with a designation unveiled, in view of the presentation of joint lists for the next local elections in the municipality of Aveiro.

The joint lists will be “based on the representation of the latest agreements made”, but it has already been decided that the candidate for the mayor is Luís Souto De Miranda and the first on the list of the municipal assembly will be appointed by the CDS/PP, not being noticed the name of the candidate.
The three coalitions “Alliance with Aveiro” led by Ribau Esteves, who is leaving for reaching the limit of the mandates, always had the presidents of the Chamber and the municipal assembly “in the hands” of the PSD. In the executive, CDS currently has two duties councilors.
The now formalized understanding hopes “to ensure that Aveiro continues to have a stable and majority municipal governance,” says a declaration issued this afternoon.
Luís Souto De Miranda, candidate for the Aveiro Chamber for the coalition, Firmino Ferreira, leader of the local PSD, Ana Oliveira, president of the Cds Council and Gonçalo da Câmara Pereira, representing the PPM enrolled in the agreement.
The three parties assume that it is “the most credible option to attend the work done, ensuring that a project inspired by the democratic alliance is and will be the best response and more solution to Aveiro”.
The new coalition recalls that “Aveiro has experienced an exceptional situation and won it: today it is a different municipality, recovered and the best in Portugal”.
