A “future with the course” for Ovar

The Ovar Socialist Party Committee unanimously included as a candidate for the PS to the City Council. After a profound reflection, weighting and dialogue with many fellow citizens, with different social and political sensitivities, I understood to accept the challenge, knowing that, in addition to an honor, it is, above all, a great responsibility. This is a task that could never presume if it were absolutely not prepared for her.

I do not seduce the power in power. I do not run for reasons of personal ambition, because I have a professional and academic activity in an area that has always fallen in love, as well as a stable and peaceful personal life. I am a candidate, yes, for a strong sense of duty and a profound personal conviction that I can do in a different way and (a lot) better for the ovar: I grew up as a person and citizen, in a common municipality managed by mayors of the socialist party: a municipality from anal infrastructure to infrastructure to flip flops, by a consultancy for the environment, give a environment, give a municipality to social solidation, from the municipality of environmentality, from the municipality, from the municipality, from the municipality to the municipality of the municipality. Municipality, give a municipality to solidaries, from advice to the environment.

I grew up in a county that distinguished itself, for its brilliance and sustainable growth, in relation to the borders and neighbors. And what do we have at the end of 12 years of the PSD in view of the fate of the Municipality? The absolute contrast: a stagnant, exceptional governance made of isolated and unable to, over a decade, reveals structured and rooted, a clear idea, a look obviously and the future vision for the ovar and its people. We had a Governance of the PSD that interrupted numerous opportunities for economic development, industry and investments, to seriously innovate with the support of community funds and the capital left by the mayors PS. Ovar has lost brilliance and pale. It is urgent to change this state of affairs before it becomes irreversible.

That’s why I’m a candidate. First of all and above all, understand that the public service and the defense of the common good should also be present in our lives. I made my contribution as an associative leader. Now I understand to accept this much more complex and demanding challenge, but for which I assume without false modesties, I am prepared and supported by a clear vision of the course to be followed towards the future.

I know the dynamics of municipal management well. I have a profound knowledge of reality and challenges that are placed on our community and in our county. I am ready to take the helm and reorient the course of our county towards its right place and the aspirations of our citizens.
I agreed to apply in the name of the values ​​in which I believe and I consider absolutely necessary in municipal management and political action: rigor and transparency, competence and work capacity, responsibility and gravity, democracy and pluralism.

I agreed to apply because it is urgent to go to the county, with a clear definition of objectives and priorities, well -assumed strategies and careful management of resources.

I agreed to apply in the name of sustainable development for our county, clear structural policies in culture, social action, environment and quality of life, sport, education, health, accommodation, planning and planning of the territory, transport, mobility and accessibility, tourism, civil protection and security itself.

I agreed to apply because I know that with competent and dynamic people, available for the action program we have and we will make known, it is possible to take this course that guarantees a development and quality of life more and better in our county.

We have memory of the socialist management in Ovar. And we have a record of the absence of direction, the depression, the lack of strategies, masked by populism in recent years. And we know that the municipalities of Ovar want and have the right to a better gift and future.
