Albergaria-A-Volha: Ideas for the creation of exchanges and platform donations wins the competition for school entrepreneurship
The “Albalife” project, a platform of exchanges and donations of various objects, “avoiding waste and promotion of sustainability”, won the “competition of ideas #Faz your Future”, an initiative of the hotel-a-volha chamber open to high school and professional school students.

The jury analyzed the 11 finalist projects during a session held in Cineteatro Alba.
The winning idea was presented by Henrique Marcos, Ricardo Perdigão and Guilherme Matos, students of the hotel-a-volha secondary school, under the guidance of Professor Ana Maria Esteves.
Secondly, it was “Folk. Lore”, which intends to create an interactive platform, in which artists, producers and listeners share music, collaborations or launch of artistic careers. The project was designed by AFFSO Fernandes, Tomás Pinto de Carvalho and Lídia Miguens, students of Joide, with the support of Professor Tânia Gomes.
Already the third prize has been awarded to “Math for Old People”, a series of mathematical games for institutions with social responses to the elderly. The students Pedro Viegas, Steven Neve and Rui Sá, of the hotel-a-volha secondary school, were the authors of the project, with the guidance of Professor Maria João Tomaz.
The winners of the competition will receive vouchers to be used in the local trade at 150 euros (1st prize), 100 euros (2nd prize) and 50 euros (3rd prize). They will also enjoy a mission of entrepreneurship in Aveiro, where they can meet entrepreneurs and innovative projects.
The jury consisted of Eva Andrade, by Uacopera Iefp – Institute of Professional Training; Paulo Marques, of Innovaria – Innovation Network of Aveiro; and Sandra Marisa Vidal, by Cefp de águeda – Center for Employment and Training.
The Emprende+Academy, which has known its eleventh edition, is the school’s entrepreneurial program promoted by the Municipality of Albergaria-A-Volha in collaboration with the groups of schools in Albergaria-A-Volha and White, College of Albergia-A-Volha and Jobe.
The Albergariense project has already been distinguished by the European urban program as a “good practice”.
