Caritas Diocesana De Aveiro joined the National Caritas Week promoted by the Portuguese Caritas throughout the national territory and in which the 20 Diocesans Caritas and hundreds of parish groups meat participate in the various dioceses.

Under the motto “involved, I don’t even know the good you know”, the diocesan Caritas of Aveiro will simplify the annual pedal, which is located on March 20-23 in various commercial spaces in the region and in the offers of the Eucharists. In the 10 municipalities of the diocese of Aveiro, this initiative involves 120 volunteers of 11 parish groups of Caritas.
The national team is an important source of carnage funds that raise funds designed to support vulnerable families. The funds raised will allow you to strengthen the mission of closeness and care with the most needy of our diocese. Caritas National Week will culminate with Caritas Day on March 23, in which Eucharist’s offers will be intended for the diocesan of Aveiro Caritas.
“Every gesture of generosity makes hope born in the life of the most vulnerable. Through the national pyditorium, we can reach those who suffer most and transform the difficulties into new opportunities. We count on everyone’s availability to continue building solidarity bridges and support for people”, says Caritas Diocesan de Aveiro. Caritas National Week is a privileged moment of mobilization to appeal to the active participation of all people in the construction of a more fair and more human society, obtaining a special relevance in the current political and social context.
