The Cabildo of the Ministry of Social Action, today constituted the Council of Children and Adolescents of Fuerteventura with the aim of giving voice to girls, boys and adolescents throughout the island’s territory. The advice was trained today, in a session held at the Insular Youth Center (Puerto del Rosario).
The organ is made up of 24 children and teenagers of the six municipalities, who will represent the whole Fuerteventura, in their commitment to be the voice of the Majorera childhood and bring to Cabildo their ideas and proposals so that their opinions are taken into consideration in the policies of the island. As expressed during the meeting, their purpose is to improve the quality of life of all the inhabitants, in particular children and teenagers. They also expressed their will to collaborate with other institutions and associations that work for children and adolescence
The Minister of Social Action, Víctor Alonso, explained that “the Council promotes that children can actively participate in the issues that deal with equal opportunities and the commitment to the community”.
They were also present, members of the ASD integral winning company, which reflected the significant challenge that it was the formation of the Council, due to the great importance of having an organ that allows you to hear the voice of children and adolescents throughout the island territory.
The kindergarten and adolescence plan
During the morning of the internal commission of the Dei Piano Infantile and Adolescence, a tool aimed at guaranteeing complete, fair and healthy development for girls, boys and adolescents, “through strategies adapted to the reality of Majorera youth”, said consultant Víctor Alonso.
The internal commission was made up of representatives of the different Ministry of Cabildo, who will participate in the process of preparation for the childhood plan and adolescence of Fuerteventura, from the diagnosis of the current situation, to its design, implementation and monitoring.
