Under the title “The protection of childhood and adolescence in football”, Paquito Ortiz, defender of the son of Ud Las Palmas, held the speech to Ud Jandía. 15 Club technicians participated in it, which also recently signed an agreement with the UD Las Palmas, through its foundation and in collaboration with the training and collection department.
In this training action, the fundamental aspects of the organic law of full protection for children and adolescence against violence (Lopive) and its involvement in the field of sport have been addressed. Some of the measures performed in the UD LAS Palmas were also announced in relation to the policy of protection of minors, approved by the Foundation Foundation Council in July 2022.
Finally, the technicians took the opportunity to start training, launched the UD Las Palmas Foundation this season, aimed at training and training all staff who work with minors in the clubs agreed in relation to the rights of minors and respect for the obligations established by organic law 8/2021, of June 4, of integral protection for children and adolescents against violence.
This training is based on the creation of three micro -learning courses that cover the following topics:
- Child protection in leisure and sporting activities. Introduction to the legal obligations that entities and professionals who carry out free time and sports activities aimed at children and teenagers must satisfy.
- Good practices at work with minors. Training on good practices at work with minors (organization of activities, interaction with minors, identification of risk situations, violence and abuse, adequate use of the Internet and social networks, …).
- Act against violence and abuse. General indications on the way of acting against suspicions or tests of abuse or violence.
