“ India should focus on China, not Pakistan ”, the British expert praises Operation Sindoor – the British expert warns American risks in South Asia, India should focus on China and not Pakistan NTC

Dr. Walter Ladwig, principal lecturer of international relations at King’s College London, made a major statement on American strategic priorities in South Asia. He clearly said that India should divert his attention from Pakistan and focus on a large strategic challenge like China.

He said that America’s long-standing objective was to develop India as an important partner in the Indo-Pacific sector, and the regional conflict weakens this management. During this, he praised India’s precise capacities during Operation Sindoor.

Ladwig has declared in a conversation with the news agency Ani, “since the era of George W. Bush, each government of America has worked to make India an important strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific sector. If India is tangled in the fight with Pakistan, its objective can deviate from the overview of Asia and does not present itself to the interest of America.”

Big change in India policies
He said the air strikes led by India after Pulwama’s attack show that India has now adopted an invasive terrorism policy by leaving the defensive strategy. He said: “The governments of India earlier were used to gathering evidence of terrorism incidents, but it has now been made that if a country does not prevent terrorist organizations from sheltering in its region, India can give a direct military response.”

Why the stability of India is necessary for America
LADVIG also said that India’s economic growth rate is very impressive, but that it must grow at faster speed to achieve all its development objectives. “A long struggle with Pakistan can endanger this development, and that is why it is also necessary for America that Indo-Pak tension does not increase.”

Ceasefire and independent decision
On recent ceasefire efforts, Ladvig said this dedication was more inspired by the will of the two countries, not by foreign arbitration. He said: “India and Pakistan have entered into an agreement to stop the action and military layoffs. It was at the will of the two parties and had no role in pressure or arbitration described by US President Donald Trump.”

In addition, he also appreciated the precise military capabilities of India and better performance in public dialogues during Operation Sindoor. He said: “India has carried out an operation more effectively than Pakistan and their photos and information are accessible to the public, which strengthens Indian claims.”
