In Avila, roads, fields and sports places were dumped while people tried to remove water from their homes and their hoofs worked on the banks of the Adaja River to remove the branches and avoid more floods.
The military emergency unit in Spain ignored the water levels around the hospital for persons with disabilities after placing a wall of sand bags to prevent water from reaching the building if the levels continued to rise.
The authorities said that the Spanish capital is still alert due to the risk of overcoming the Manzanares River with a new storm approach in the city.
On Friday morning (21), the authorities were forced to close some highways to reach the highways M-30 and M-40 in the northern Madrid roads surrounding the city and use them by thousands of cars every day.
