“Acts, experience and professional competence” in the scientific area are highlighted in the order of the government for a period of office which is for the three -year period.
The investigative scholarship supplier has the function of “defending and promoting, without decision power, of the rights and legitimate interests of the scientific research pockets, that is, through the analysis of the complaints and participations directed to them, both individual and collective, motivated by actions or omissions, the financial entity, the entities of the reception or consultants”.
In the context of his activity, he will assume “particular relevance for the ability of the investigation scholarship, to issue recommendations to reception institutions and financing institutions”.
Casimiro Pio is an emeritus professor at the UA, who retired, as a complete professor, in 2019 As a professor to the UA, he had his academic and scientific course in the Department of the Environment and the Planning that has contributed to founding and developing. He participated in the implementation of the first environmental engineering course in Portugal. He founded and developed the Cesam Research Unit – UA Environment and Sea Studies Center.
