The President of Diputación de Salamanca, Javier Iglesias, the Sixth Conference of Regional Councils, Cabildos and Al Jazeera advice held in Palma de Mallorca. A meeting organized by the Spanish Union for Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), the Democracy Foundation and the local government in cooperation with Consell de Mallorca, which, among other things, the challenge of responsible tourism and the digital transformation process was addressed.
The sixth presidents conference began yesterday with a presentation on “the past, the present and the future of intermediate local governments”, while it was addressed today at two tables to discuss “the challenges of responsible tourism” and “digital transformation: artificial intelligence and cyber security.”
In this regard, the President of Diputación de Salamanca highlighted the progress and projects implemented by the provincial institution in the field of municipal digital modernization. In this sense, the digital modernization and domestic transformation program for local entities is especially important, framed in the plan for recovery, transformation and flexibility, which Diputación was benefiting from four main projects.

One of these projects, called “the digital infrastructure for the transfer of local entities”, invests 196,214.40 euros by financing from NextGENERATION in the European Union. Thanks to this initiative, 125 personal pcs and 107 multi -functional character were installed in 147 municipalities in the province, which contributes to documentaries and improving the administrative management of the municipalities.
This project is only part of the total total of more than 1.3 million euros obtained for the boycott within the framework of the call and digital transformation. Among the other three development projects:

Distinguishing the genetic nursery spaces, with a budget of 551,000 euros.
In the management of smart water supply and waste collection, with an investment of 200,000 euros.
Diputación de Salamanca, in cooperation with the Regional Computer Center (CIPSA), continues to bet on the digital modernization of local entities as a basic tool to improve the quality and efficiency of public services in the province municipality.
With this participation in the V -Presidents Conference, Diputación confirmed its commitment to the digital transformation as an engine to develop and modernize local departments, which ensures a more efficient public service, which can be accessed and adapted to the needs of the boycott citizens.
