A child was taken to the hospital at the end of last week after being subjected to the snake bite during a birthday party in the La Disa de la Villa park, northwest of Madrid.

The event took place in a high area of the park while an outdoor birthday was celebrated. After being bitten, his family quickly transferred to the emergency department of the La Paz Hospital, where toilets, given the possibility of a snake, stimulated the protocol and managed an anti -animal.

The boy recovered quickly from what happened and on Sunday he left the hospital. The young child was not present in the affected area, swelling or repeated discomfort in the case of snakes.

The health service of the Madrid City Council sent a team of Grefa, a link with which they cooperated in these matters, which did not find the animal that caused the accident, or the absence of a nest or anything in this regard, so specialists see “very unlikely” that the child was a snake because they are not their home, they referred to European municipal sources.

It can then be a kind of snake (tape or stairs), which is more typical for the natural environment such as the city of the city.

Tips before a bite

Before the snake bite, the Madrid community recommends that the wound cleaning immediately to reduce the risk of infection, not championship practices or cracks in the wound. If possible, freezing part of the affected body and moving to the nearest health center. In case of doubt about how to follow, call 112.

At the health center, it will be estimated if it is a symptom treatment, anchoring antidote in the area of the region’s snakes and vaccination against tetanus if this is not actually done.

The regional agency indicates that the majority of the Iberian Peninsula and the islands are not toxic, and less than 1 % of the snakes are complex, especially if they are not treated quickly, as the regional agency indicates.
